J.J. Brito

Southern California native J.J. Brito began riding the waves of Huntington Beach at age 13. The day after high school graduation he set out for Indonesia, mixing his love of surfing with travel. Returning home a few months later, he rejected the average societal expectations of college/career and instead used his modest restaurant earnings to fund far-flung adventures. From that time until the present day J.J. has traveled the seven seas and journeyed to the four corners of the earth.

J.J.'s writing career evolved from the detailed journals and descriptive letters he sent home from abroad. His book "The World's Richest Busboy" chronicles his early years on the road.

In his late 20's he purchased land in the Fijian Islands and self-built a bungalow overlooking the South Pacific. These days he divides his time between Fiji and the rest of the world with his wife, Susan, and daughter, Melita. He continues to work his land, write, and ride waves.
