William A. Cummins

My name is William A. Cummins, an award-winning author from Port Orange, Florida. I help authors publish their work and entertain with my own collection of books.

I grew up with four brothers on a farm in Ohio during the great depression and became a singing-cowboy star on radio and stage before the age of 18.

I managed a riding ranch at 15 and taught a golden stallion to perform on stage and talk to the audience. We headlined across the Midwest as "Smilin' Bill and his Wonder Horse King."

After high school I lived the life of a cowboy and traveled 300 miles by horseback from my home in Ohio to Chicago, Illinois.

Three brothers served in the Korean War as I stood by because of an injury to my right hand in a farm accident when I was nine years old.

Later, I gave up 'showbiz' for a factory job, married, and settled down to raise a family. I studied mechanical engineering courses on the side for nine years while working full time.

In 1960, I achieved registration as a professional engineer in Ohio. During my career I registered in six states, became a principal of several national and international consulting firms, and was honored as a Diplomate by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.

Although I grew up outside the church; experiencing God's presence at age 20 led me into an active spiritual life. Years later, I attended the United Methodist Church seminary and entered their lay speaking ministries of preaching, teaching, and training leaders.

After 44 wonderful years of marriage my wife, Phyllis, died suddenly of heart arrhythmia in 1998. I remarried a year later to my lovely wife Ann. We have a family of five children, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Since founding CAI Publishing I have authored five highly acclaimed books:
