Ray Dix served in the Army Security Agency in the 60's, designed and built boats in the 70's, and repaired electronic equipment to support his boating habit. He became an attorney in mid-life and served as a death row defense attorney and a Public Defender in Florida. Dix has tried cases, written appeals, and served as a research and writing attorney for the judges of two judicial circuits over a twenty-two year career. Dix's first novel won an EPPIE for best mystery of 2006 published electronically.
The author and his beloved wife live in Hawaii where he is writing the next Woody Thomas mystery novel and walking beaches at sunset.
