Mary-Beth Brophy

Mary-Beth Brophy grew up in northern New Jersey and relocated to Southern California at 18. She has a PhD in creative writing from the University of St. Andrews and is a published Kerouac scholar. A longtime Hollywood resident, she has a passion for local history and is the former owner of a walking tour company specializing the mysteries and scandals in Old Hollywood. Her new novel, Mayor of Hollywood, combines her passion for history and her love of crime fiction. It earned an honorable mention in the 2013 Beach Book Festival, General Fiction category.
