Kelli Pearson

Kelli Pearson is an award-winning children’s author and creator of Artful Math®, a visual, hands-on approach designed to help creative, curious, and “non-mathy” kids fall in love with learning.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, Kelli brings a deep understanding of struggling learners—and the belief that every child can become confident when concepts are taught in ways that truly make sense.

As a child who grew up believing she was bad at math, Kelli now teaches through pictures, patterns, stories, games, and real-world exploration. Her joyful approach helps children discover that math is not about memorizing steps—it’s about noticing connections, solving puzzles, and making sense of the world around them.

Kelli creates imaginative learning resources that blend creativity with deep mathematical thinking, including books, games, puzzles, and hands-on activities. Her book Kitten Math 2 received the Mom’s Choice Award for excellence in children’s educational materials.

When she’s not designing math adventures, Kelli can usually be found caring for foster kittens or relaxing in a backyard hammock with her own fur babies.
