Herb Segars has been a photographer for more than thirty years - working and photographing along the eastern coast of the United States and in many tropical locations in the Caribbean.
His work has appeared in Geo, BBC Wildlife, National Geographic, National Geographic World, Natural History, National Wildlife, Newsweek, Ranger Rick, Smithsonian, The World and I, Outdoor America and many other national and international publications.
Herb specializes in nature, wildlife, scenics, boating and travel / tourism photography. His real love is underwater photography. Herb lives in Brick, New Jersey with his wife, Veronica. This location provides access to his favorite work area, the Atlantic Ocean. He has been SCUBA diving in the northeast since 1981. With Veronica’s assistance, Herb has spent countless hours viewing and photographing the local shipwrecks and marine life. He has written more than seventy magazine articles and has had more than 2000 photos published.

Herb uses a Nikon D300 and various Nikon lenses and flashes. Herb’s underwater photography equipment includes a Nikon D300 camera in a Subal housing with Ikelite 125 substrobes.
