AJ Taft is the author of three novels featuring Lily Appleyard. The first in the series, Our Father, Who Art Out There...Somewhere follows Lily's quest to meet her father, who left home the day she was born. When Lily tracks him down, to a plush suburb in a northern market town, she discovers he has a new family and a desperate desire never to meet his first child.

Can Lily live with that desire? Doesn't he owe her at least one meeting?

Born in Burnley, Alison now lives in Leeds with her partner and their two children. She loves writing because it can make her feel like she's in control of life. The rest of the time she works out her frustrations on the netball court.
