Maria Grace is a #1 best-selling author of historical fantasy, gaslamp adventure, and the occasional non-fiction rabbit hole. With a PhD in Educational Psychology and 16 years in the university classroom, she brings deep insight into human nature to every story she writes.

When she’s not blending dragons into Jane Austen novels or researching Victorian inventions for fun, she’s building immersive fictional worlds where history and magic intertwine—and where characters grow through grit, grace, and the occasional fireballs.

A six-time BRAG Medallion honoree, she has written multiple fantasy series including Jane Austen’s Dragons, The World Wrights, and The Kayavan Chronicles. Her blog, Random Bits of Fascination, and newsletter blend historical facts with behind-the-scenes looks at her worlds.

She lives in Texas with her family, a small pride of cats, and more dragons than strictly necessary. Most of her vacations require helmets and waivers or historical costumes, usually not at the same time.

She writes gas lamp fantasy, historical romance and non-fiction to help justify her research addiction.
