Ross Hostetter was born in 1954 and raised in a small agricultural community in the American Midwest. He worked for 25 years as a distinguished attorney, mediator, corporate trainer, and consultant before retiring to begin a career as a spiritual innovator and visionary novelist.
As a young man, Ross took 26 trips into the wilderness of the Canadian Shield, the rugged north country which is the earth of his novel Keepers of the Field. During one summer in the wilderness, he had a remarkable encounter with a teacher that led to a profound awakening that inspired his work as a writer, and his passion for mystical adventure.
Ross and his wife Mary have been together for more than 27 years, and live in Boulder Colorado with their three children and a little white dog named Tinker Bell.
Keepers of the Field is Ross's debut novel.
