If you look for me, you probably will find me outdoors, floating a river, kayaking the swamp, surf fishing, hiking a trail or wandering around at night looking at the stars. All my books come from things that I have encountered outside, or for one of my books, simply looking out the window at the bird feeder.

Six of the seven books are aimed towards younger readers. The trilogy of the turtle books is filled with adventure and lessons about nature.

My novel is about my childhood and being raised living in the caretakers shake in the middle of a cemetery with my mother, father and siblings. It is full of laughter and heartache.

I am a mother or three daughters, and I have six grandchildren and one great grandchild. My first three books were based on actual events that happened, and the child in the book is my granddaughter.

I think you will find these books refreshing, relaxing and totally enjoyable. A perfect story, just before bedtime.

I currently live in Eastern Carolina, where the last three of my children's books were inspired by my kayaking the swamps and the life that lives there.
