J.R. Hunter is a retired Kentucky State Police Detective, former FBI Task Force Officer, and man of unshakeable faith.

Over a nearly three-decade law enforcement career, Randy worked the front lines of the opioid epidemic, conducting investigations featured on CNBC's American Greed and referenced in Sam Quinones' Dreamland. But behind the badge was always a believer standing on the promises of God.

Randy co-founded Frontier Behavioral Health Residential Treatment Centers in Paintsville, Kentucky, serves as co-pastor of Redemption Chapel, and hosts The Redemption Road — a weekly TV program and podcast on faith and recovery — alongside his wife Chanel.

He is the author of Defeating the Spirit of Addiction and his newest release, The Sword of the Spirit: A Journey of Faith, Prophecy, and Manifestation — a memoir spanning 27 years of answered prayer and the relentless faithfulness of God.
