Ted L Gragg served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He attended Clemson University, The University of South Carolina, and West Texas State University. He has enjoyed life experience as a Wildlife Officer, an NRA Firearms Instructor and Counselor, an S.C. CWP Instructor, a Corporate CEO, and an independent businessman. His outside interests include hunting, freshwater fishing, metal detecting, and research. He and his wife Connie have shared 56 years of explorations, historical archaeological discovery, and museum preservation and curation. Together they created the CSS Pee Dee Research and Recovery Team. This team, an underwater and land-based archaeological team set out to discover and locate the remains of the Civil War gunboat CSS Pee Dee and its 3 massive cannons that sank in 1865. The ship’s 3 massive cannons were located underwater, recovered, and successfully preserved. This search and recovery effort is told in two of Ted Gragg’s books, Guns of the Pee Dee, the Search for the Warship CSS Pee Dee’s Cannons, and Guns of the Pee Dee, The Cannon Recovery. Ted considers his most important life choices to be those of a Christian, husband, and father. Life is a gift from God and is chock full of excitement.
