Matt Sinclair

Matt Sinclair is a journalist and fiction writer. Since the 1990s, he has covered charities and foundations, primarily those located in the United States, and written about a number of different fields on a freelance basis, including arts and culture, business, health, religion, science, sports, writing, and many spaces between and beyond those areas. He was a co-founder of the From the Write Angle blog, served as the moderator of the nonfiction forum at AgentQueryConnect, and at Query Connection moderated a Middle Grade forum with MarcyKate Connolly as well as the Literary Fiction forum.

In 2012, he established Elephant's Bookshelf Press, LLC, which has published more than 20 titles, including ebooks, paperbacks, and audiobooks. The majority of offerings are fiction, including multi-author short story anthologies and debut novels.

The COVID pandemic was a trunk-punch to EBP. But the press has since launched a YA science-fiction/space opera series by R.S. Mellette, and a horror-thriller series by Robert Wayne McCoy. In 2023, it established its children's division with Grampa's Stories, and in 2025/26, it published its second nonfiction work, Lover/Child, a memoir.

Sinclair also provides editorial and communications/promotional services on a case-by-case basis.
