Andreas G. Heiss

Andreas G. Heiss is archaeobotanist and research group leader at the Austrian Archaeological Institute (OeAI) at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW). He studied biology (focus: archaeobotany) at the University of Innsbruck. Since 2001 he has been involved in numerous national and international research projects in Central Europe and the Mediterranean region. Focuses on the history of nutrition, agriculture and mining. Teaching activities at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU), at the University of Vienna, and at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
