Average Joe Cyclist

Joe Goodwill (aka Average Joe Cyclist) is a man on a mission - he wants to make cycling fun and accessible for all, from children to seniors, and everyone in between. To achieve that mission, Joe writes a very popular blog called Average Joe Cyclist (www.AverageJoeCyclist.com), which is a blog for average people who love to ride bikes. There are many blogs for and about elite athletes who cycle, and who look great in Lycra. This is not one of those blogs! Average Joe Cyclist includes news, reviews and helpful cycling tips for average people who want to get more out of cycling. Joe’s wife Maggie also contributes to Average Joe Cyclist, as she also enjoys the exhilaration and health benefits of commuting to work on a bike.

Joe's first Cycling Guide is about how to buy used bikes online. In this very practical guide, he shares everything he knows about how to find a bargain bike online. The guide also includes all kinds of extras, including how to figure out your bike size, how to decide what kind of bike is right for you, and a guide to bike terminology.

Joe's second Cycling Guide is all about electric bikes, a particular passion of his. Bikes with an electric assist open up the joy of cycling to almost everyone, and Joe thinks that's a wonderful thing. He firmly believes that electric bikes will be one of the most significant trends of the 21st century, and has written this book to help people choose wisely and knowledgeably when they invest in an electric bike. This practical guide contains everything you need to know when buying an electric bike.

Joe's third Guide is a cookbook: Extraordinary Recipes: How we Lost Weight by Eating Well. Joe wrote this recipe book in collaboration with his wife, Maggie Neilson. It's a guide to getting healthy and losing weight using some of the latest nutritional research, but at the same time still enjoying food. It's aimed at the average person who wants easy recipes, using whole foods that one can find at the local grocery store. Joe and Maggie have developed these recipes over many years and while learning about a whole range of different diets. They incorporate some of the best principles of the Paleo diet, the Atkins diet, the South Beach diet, the Weight Watchers diet and the LA Weight Loss diet. BUT - and it's a very big BUT - they are not all or nothing recipes. They temper good nutritional science with a hefty dose of everyday common sense, recognizing that nobody can be perfect all the time - and that everybody loves to eat!
