Dave Slade

Dave Slade knew when he was a teenager that he wanted to be an author. He was influenced early on by John Steinbeck, who was also from Salinas, California. Dave's favorite novel is still East of Eden.

Dave is the author of the Amazon bestseller The Christ Virus and the sequel Dark Star Rising. The Christ Virus shot to the top of Amazon’s religious mysteries category in 2020. The book, published in 2012, predicted the outbreak of a pandemic in late 2019, and the election of a wealthy Republican from New York to the U.S. presidency in 2016.

Dave is a graduate of the Journalism School at San Jose State University and the School of Ministry at Calvary Church in Albuquerque.

He lives in Portugal with his wife Holly and dog Steinbeck.
