Her short story, "The Urban Goatherd," was nominated for a Pushcart award and received honorable mention by New Millennium Writings. This true story was first published in We Came to Say, edited by Theo Nestor, and The Wilderness Literary Review.

Elizabeth founded The Writers Connection, www.writersconnection.org with interviews with Erik Larson, Garth Stein, and Debbie Macomber, among others. Her work has been published in Hybrid Mom, Strokes and Spokes, ABILITY, Peninsula Gateway, Tacoma Weekly, and Seattle Child.

Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Elizabeth now lives on an island in Washington with photographer, Paul Murray, their daughter, and frisky cat. With a Masters in Social Work, Elizabeth worked in the field of developmental disabilities before returning to her first love, writing. Her work has appeared in Hybrid Mom, Strokes and Spokes, ABILITY, Seattle Child, and Peninsula Gateway.
