Pete Walsh

Pete Walsh is of Irish descent and born in the Derbyshire coalfield. His careers have taken him into, onto and below the earth's surface. In contrast he's also worked and ventured much higher than the tops of ladders without a rope and into the workings of people's abilities, personalities and minds.

Pete is a recent graduate of The University of Nottingham with a BA First Class Honours in Creative and Professional Writing and currently studies MA Writing at Sheffield Hallam University.

His published work includes poetry and short stories in online magazines, small publisher collections and student anthologies.

Inspiration for Pete comes from our diverse environments including the rarely properly explored psyche, art and sculpture, music and people watching.

Pete feels his writing style is largely undefined. He sees it as predominantly Literary Fiction with a bit of psychology, mystery, supernatural suspense attached.

A small publisher has said of his writing:

The narrative voice is delightful - sort of naively, innocently straightforward with an undercurrent of luscious weirdness.

Weird and luscious or luscious and weird, Pete likes that.

His current favourite quote:

To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower,

Hold infinity in the palms of your hand and eternity in an hour.

William Blake

He is particularly interested in receiving constructive feedback from readers and welcomes critique from readers willing to leave reviews.

Other examples of work can be found in online magazines etc.
