Lee Knapp

Lee Knapp is a natural-born storyteller with a zest for living and with eyes always open to the funny side. Her enthusiasm, passion and joy are contagious and have contributed to her success in life and in business. It is simply impossible not to like her.

Lee has been running her own business, Knapp Consultants, for over two decades. She helps her clients grow their businesses by motivating and reinforcing positive employee development, and teaching people how to sell their products, their services, and themselves, with joy. Although she has achieved a more-than-comfortable lifestyle, she plans to keep on talking her talk and sharing her love with anyone who will listen until she cannot talk anymore. In 2009 she co-authored, with Steven Covey, Brian Tracy, and Ken Blanchard, Discover Your Inner Strength. Her business keeps growing, with the majority of new clients coming from referrals of happy previous clients. She has many.

Prior to starting her business, Lee achieved success in the corporate world as a trailblazer for women executives. As an executive division manager for Avon Products, she was responsible for the sales results of 4,000 Avon sales representatives, and led her division into the top ten percent in the country. After Avon, Lee was recruited by Stanley Home Products to go to Melbourne, Australia to build a door-to-door sales organization. In Melbourne she recruited, trained and developed a sales team of over 1,200 people. The sales results were outstanding.

Starting her own business was scary, as it is for nearly everyone brave enough to try it. Lee sometimes wanted to throw in the towel and get a “real job,” but when this happened she would call “bad girl” Barbara Parsons, who would remind her of how nice it was to be in control of her own life, dust her off, and throw her back in the ring for another couple of rounds. Lee did the same for Barbara.

Lee has shared her sales and marketing secrets with the other “bad girls” at their girls’ weekends, where they put on informal workshops to talk about their business challenges and solutions. Lee credits this support with fueling her fire and allowing her to keep going. Lee’s five special girlfriends also encouraged her dedication to making a difference in her Florida community. Inspired by their charitable successes in Chicago with Rainbows and others, Lee founded a program called “Stockings 4 Kids,” leading twenty women (her elves) to donate Christmas stockings to needy children. She also often speaks pro-bono for not-for-profit organizations in her community.

Lee is in demand as a motivational speaker, appearing throughout the U.S. Speaking before 7,000 people at the St. Louis Convention Center, she received a standing ovation, indicative of her ability to inspire and empower as well as entertain.at their girls’ weekends, where they put on informal workshops to talk about their business challenges and solutions.
