KHETAM DAHI

As a second-generation immigrant from Syria, I came to the USA at the age of thirteen with my family in 1978. I attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing (FIDM) in 1983-1986. I graduated from CSUSB with a BA in English Composition in 1999 and received an MA in English Composition with Concentration in TESL in 2001. In 2010, I received a Reading Certificate from UCI Extension and in 2011, a Certificate in GATE (Gifted and Talented Education). I am a full-time Assistant Professor of ESL at East Los Angeles College. Teaching is my passion and my students and my four children are my inspiration.
