Daryl Eigen is a Marine Vietnam Veteran, who is the author of "A Hellish Place of Angels: Con Thien: One Man's Journey." He served in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967 and participated in a dozen plus combat operations in and about the DMZ. His tour of duty culminated in the brutal battles of Con Thien. He was awarded three purple hearts and went on to get a PhD from Northwestern University after he was honorably discharged. He worked as an engineer and rose to the position of CEO for several high-tech companies. Daryl is now retired living with his wife Jeevani Lucy in Portland OR.
