Leslie Dunn, of English and Romanian descent, discovered a passion for writing at age fourteen. In 1982, her first English professor in college took Dunn under her wing which led to Dunn's first byline in the Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper. For the next fifteen years, Dunn garnered many bylines in the Gainesville Sun newspaper, Moody Monthly Magazine, Nashville Parent Magazine and others.
Years of working in Radiology fired an ambition to become a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. While enrolled in the tech program the name, "Rudolf Virchow," presented itself in a variety of classes. After nine years of research and writing, Dunn's book, "Rudolf Virchow - Four Lives in One," was published through CreateSpace. The Korean right was purchased by a publisher with a release date of December 2016.
Dunn took up kayaking later in life, achieving certification as an instructor by the American Canoe Association (ACA). Written in an easy-to-read style, the steady-selling book, "Quiet Water Kayaking," provides a solid foundation for those new to the sport.
Dunn's next project is an "Around the World" series, beginning with "Weddings, Funerals and Taboos Around the World," soon to be released.
