Robert L. Whitmore

Robert L. (Bob) Whitmore grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. After graduation from a Christian university, Bob served as an assistant pastor in Illinois before getting into Christian publishing in 1979. He learned the publishing trade by doing, first as a staff writer and then production manager for a Christian magazine. Later Bob worked as editor of the International Employment Gazette. In 1997 he became managing editor of Frontline magazine. Bob has published numerous non-fiction articles in various Christian periodicals and has helped edit several books.

Bob and his wife Polly served as independent Baptist missionaries on a small island in the western Pacific from 2001-2013. They now live in South Carolina, where Bob serves as Director of Operations for Pacific HELPS, a non-profit organization formed to minister to the needs of people in developing countries in the Pacific through improvements in Health care, Education, Life skills, Pure water, and Solar and other renewable energies.
