Robert B. Townsend

Robert Townsend is currently director of humanities, arts, and culture programs at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, but during a 24-year career with the American Historical Association he became one of the nation's foremost authorities on the history discipline. He is the author of over 200 articles on various aspects of history, higher education, and scholarly communications.
