Clint Bowman

NOTE: In November 2017, Clint won second place in the Fourth Annual Okefenokee Heritage Center Writing Contest for his short story "A Touch of the Past".

Clint is a part-time swamp guide in the Okefenokee Swamp of South Georgia. He has been a soldier, teacher, Baptist missionary to Africa, and coach. He is married and is blessed with three children and nine grandchildren. He served many years in Africa where he taught school and prowled the African bush enjoying village life. These experiences greatly influence some of his adventure writings.

A person of many interests, two of his favorite hobbies are taking his wife bird watching in the beautiful Okefenokee swamp and hanging out with her around St Simon's Island along the Georgia coast.

Clint's experiences with wildlife and nature's ways in both Africa and South Georgia are rich fodder for the events and settings of his short stories.
