Jesse Douma

Jesse Douma is a twenty-year veteran of the screenwriting resource industry. As Screenwriting Community Leader for F+W Media, he produces cutting-edge tools for the creative community, including specialized directories, instructional guides, intuitive software programs and professional-caliber supplies.

Jesse’s journey began in the late ‘80s, when he settled in Los Angeles to be part of the family business, formerly called The Writers Computer Store. He led the company, now called The Writers Store, to its current position as the premier resource center for screenwriters and filmmakers worldwide. He also created Writers University, a popular online writing school and Screenwriting Pro, a web-based formatting application for film, television and stage plays.

A passion for creative expression extends to Jesse’s personal life, with photography and cooking being among his pursuits. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
