Michael Hetherington

Michael Hetherington (BHlthSci) is an Australian therapist, counsellor, Chinese medicine acupuncturist, EFT practitioner, and educator with over 10 years of experience.

He is often described as calming, knowledgeable and down to earth.

He holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Traditional Chinese Medicine), a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Counselling, and a black belt in Taekwondo. He is also completing a Master’s degree in Adult Education.

Blending Eastern wisdom with modern therapeutic techniques, Michael specialises in helping people overcome anxiety, stress, digestive issues, pain, and emotional imbalances.

As an educator, he has created multiple training programs and shares some of his work through his YouTube channel (The Taoist Tapper), which has grown to over 40,000 subscribers and more than one million views.

Michael has spoken on international stages, including the Bali Spirit Festival in Indonesia and the Omega Institute in New York, appearing alongside renowned figures such as Donna Eden and Dr. Sue Morter.
