Dani Stone is a freelance writer, editor and author of several short stories, essays and novelettes. A romantic at heart with a touch of smart ass (okay, more than a touch) Dani gravitates toward quirky characters and offbeat situations. She has been heavily influenced by Heather McElhatton (the queen of the madcap caper) and comedian, Tina Fey.
Published stories include: 'No Place Like Home' appearing in the winter anthology, Sleigh Ride, a standalone novelette, Next Left and the short story, 'Irish Angels In New York' available in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Hope and Miracles edition.
Dani's essay 'Mama Knows' was featured in the 2013 stage production of Listen To Your Mother in Kansas City, Missouri.
Wait, there's more. She edits too! Dani is proud to be the sole editor for debut author, Leslie Huggans and her Victoria Douglas series, 'Seven Days and Six Worst Case Scenarios.'
As the founder of VOGM Parents Alliance (www.vogmparents.org), an organization she created after her daughter was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder, Dani takes every opportunity to raise awareness for Vein of Galen Malformation.
When she's not writing for work or world peace, Dani can be found buried in a book, performing a variety of Word Nerd duties for Lee Media Group, avoiding sugar wafers (her Kryptonite) and spending time with her husband of 16+ years and their two children (Jacob & Katie) on the flat lands of Kansas.
