Irene Kueh

Welcome to my Author's page! My name is Irene Kueh. (Pronunciation: [I-reen Kweʔ]) My family has deep influence not just in my writing, but also in my life. It started with my grandmother. She named me after an Irish nun. I guess that's why I love everything Irish.

For the deep passion I have for books: I owe it to my Mother. Growing up, she and Dad brought me to the library every week. To this day, I love the smell of books in the library. It's indescribable! Every time I walk into a library, it brings back childhood memory. That's why I dedicated my first novel, Voices, to my parents. I couldn't have done it without them.

My source of inspiration to become a writer: My older sister. To me, she's one of the best authors out there! My fantasy/paranormal novel Prince of Banyan is dedicated to her and my Little Shadow who was born a decade after the story was first written (with pen and paper).

The source of my creativity: My younger sister and her husband. They are the 'Masters' of creativity in my dictionary. They helped designed my covers for Jasmine Lane's Adventure series.

All my characters, however, come from my imagination. It does all the plotting and story-telling for me.

I also write children books with a good friend of mine, Kathy Kesner. We wrote Lane & Shelby / Land & Sea series). Our latest one: Juggling Shapes With Lane and Shelby, and I wrote a new children book (One Fun Day In The Australian Bush) with an Aussie friend, Brendon Wynd.

In the end, all my works mean nothing if not because of the readers, friends, and family. So, Thank You for the endless support.
