Bridget McGowan

While Bridget likes to refer to her works as fictional biographies, they are in actuality character-driven stories comprised of fantasy, science fiction and romantic fiction. Her stories deal with real life issues such as bullying, kidnapping and coming of age. They also touch on the world of fantasy, imagining what it would be like to be a talking tiger, a prince in an alternate world, or a vampire fairy.

In the real-world, McGowan works as a pediatric occupational therapist. Her ideas originate from the suggestions of school children, her variety of friends, and her own vivid imagination. She says of her work, “They’re the books I always wanted to read, but couldn’t find in the library.”

McGowan lives in NJ with her husband and their dog.
