Steve Cassady

Steve Cassady is/has been a college professor (Humanities, Merced College; Lecturer in Writing, University of California, Merced); an intercollegiate coach (Softball, Merced College, 21 years);an Athletics Administrater (Athletic Director, Merced College since 1995); and a writer (all or part of 10 books, more than 100 magazine articles). He specializes in narrative non-fiction and currently has four books in circulation, print and e-versions: (1) Spanning the Gate, about the construction history of the Golden Gate Bridge (print only);(2) Bouncing Outside, which spins insider reminiscences of disparate subjects such as the Altmont Rock Concert, the largest cash bank heist in US history, NFL Football, and Howard Hughes's amazing aviation achievements; (3)Bridging the Gap, which chronicles the case for Community College Athletics; (4) 80 Years Under the Cross (as told to credit, e-book only) by Thomas Walsh, ex-FBI agent turned almond farmer, born a Catholic, who as a private citizen investigates sexual corruption and financial malfeasance among the clergy in his local parish and doesn't stop until he traces his faith to antiquity--with the result of declaring apostasy as an octogenarian.
