After holding positions as a lecturer in Sociolinguistics/Applied Linguistics and Japanese at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, and an adjunct position at the University of Warwick, UK, as an Honorary Associate Professor, Sarah is currently traveling full-time and blogging about language and money.
As a researcher, Sarah's main research interests include computer mediated communication (CMC), applied linguistics and sociolinguistics, particularly in the Japanese context. Her monograph Online Communication in a Second Language was published by Multilingual Matters in late 2012.
