Heather Fleener

Heather Fleener lives in the United States with her husband, D.A., and a house full of rescued dogs who have joyfully filled their empty nest. A lifelong dog lover, Heather’s home is ruled by a mismatched pack of poodles, doodles, and Chows — each with enough personality to inspire a character of their own.

Professionally, she has spent her career in Intellectual Property law, but her imagination has always lived in the Realm — the supernatural world at the heart of her Ancients of Light series. Influenced by authors such as Judith McNaught and Julie Garwood, and inspired by her childhood fascination with vampire and ghost movies watched with her Grandpa (which may explain her enduring fear of the dark), Heather blends the heart of epic romance with the mystery of the paranormal.

What began as a daydream to pass time on the treadmill became a sweeping saga of immortal warriors, destined lovers, and a prophecy that would not be silenced. The Ancients of Light series is her tribute to the belief that love — even in the war between Light and Dark — can reshape worlds.
