Heather Fleener

Heather Fleener lives in the United States with her husband, D.A., and a house full of rescued dogs who joyfully fill their empty nest. A lifelong animal lover, Heather’s time is spent catering to the whims of an unruly pack of poodles, doodles and Chows — each with enough personality to inspire a character of their own.

Professionally, Heather has enjoyed a career working in IP law, but her imagination has always belonged to the Realm — the supernatural world at the heart of her Ancients of Light series. Influenced by authors such as Judith McNaught and Julie Garwood, and inspired by a childhood spent watching vampire and ghost movies with her Grandpa (which explains her enduring fear of the dark), Heather blends the heart of epic romance with the mystery of the paranormal.

What began as a daydream to pass time on the treadmill became a sweeping saga of immortal warriors bound by fate, power and higher purpose. The Ancients of Light series is her tribute to the belief that love can reshape worlds.
