David Whistance

David Whistance born July 1971, was brought up in the Ogmore Valley mining village of Nantymoel in South Wales.

He has worked for the Royal Mail since 1989,and also works as a music journalist in his spare time.

Besides writing his main passion since an early age is music, buying his first record at the tender age of seven and never looking back.

David's dream at a young age was to become a rock star, even buying a drumkit in his teenage years after his attempt at guitar playing proved to be futile.

After playing in a couple of bands he would return to another childhood passion of his which was writing short stories that would eventually result in his first novel "Stranger To The Mind".

He then began work on his second novel "Idiot Box", a dark, comical satire based around the World of TV.

After many attempts to get an agent or publishing deal he went on to self publish Idiot Box, receiving rave reviews.

In August 2012 Idiot Box has successfuly been published on Amazon Kindle and the release of Stranger To The Mind is pending.

David is currently working on a further two novels and is hoping to have them published through Kindle at the end of the year.
