Matthew J. Wolf-Meyer

Matthew Wolf-Meyer is a cultural anthropologist and historian of medicine and science. His work focuses on medicine, science, and media in the US, and draws on history, contemporary experiences, and representations of health and illness. He is the author of three books, The Slumbering Masses: Sleep, Medicine, and Modern American Life (2012), Theory for the World to Come: Speculative Fiction and Apocalyptic Anthropology (2019), and Unraveling: Remaking Personhood in a Neurodiverse Age (2020), all published by the University of Minnesota Press.
