John Macdonald

John Macdonald is a dentist in St. Louis, Missouri. John graduated from Ladue High School in 1963, and enlisted in the Navy in 1966. He graduated from Underwater Demolition Training (renamed BUD/S for basic underwater demolition/SEAL training) Class 43 in March 1968. From there he was assigned to Underwater Demolition Team Eleven (since re-commissioned SEAL Team 5), and completed two tours in Vietnam. After the service John pursued academics where he obtained a BA from the University of New Mexico, an MA from the University of Iowa, a PhD from UCLA and a DDS from the University of Illinois. Along the way he married Katy who is a physician. They have three children, boy, girl, boy. To stay busy John throws in an occasional Ironman triathlon. This is John's first attempt at writing a novel. Everyone has a story and this is his.
