Don't be fooled by the two photos on my author's page. On the right is my wife of 47 years taken when we took a trip to Lassen National Park in California. To the left is a photo from my teaching days, yes, the stock school photo. I was born and raised in Southern Indiana, Evansville. I left for the army after graduation from high school, served four and one half years, met my wife while I was in training, married her, and have been with her ever since. We went to Germany for two years, which was a wonderful time, tempered by the fact that at that time many young men were coming home in plastic bags.

I mustered out and started at Fitchburg State Teachers College. I earned a degree in history and English. It took several years, but my wife and I finally picked up teaching jobs in Las Vegas, Nevada, "Sin City." We didn't sin too much, and we left after we retired to follow our youngest daughter to Reno. We now live near her and our wonderful grandson for seven months of the year, and summer in New England near our eldest daughter. I've published six novels, and my reviews are great, but my sales could improve. That's up to the buying public. The critics say my finest work is "The Boys of Chattanooga," historical fiction taken from the siege and charge at Chattanooga, Tennessee during the American Civil War. My personal favorite is "Coyote," for one of the main characters is a dog, and it is a story whose compelling central interest is love. I'm bringing out a romance novel this summer. I write in all genres. I'm going to switch that to romance. I enjoy feelings of love and fidelity, and I like to explore those feelings with my novels. Look over my list of works and pick up a few. By the way, "Evergreen" is the name of my soon to be published romance.
