Anyone who owns a pet thinks their pet is the best! Mine is all that and very amusing. Betty came into our lives in 2007. My kids at that time were in 8th & 11th grade. Truly great ages to incorporate the second dog into the family as they were able, wanting and willing to share in the duties of pet ownership. I give the majority of credit to our old family dog, Kirby, for the direction and guidance she gave Betty. It’s true that the older dog shows the puppy the ropes! The constant gaggle of teenagers in and out of the house helped Betty quickly become a people pleaser therefore an easy to train Labrador due to her eager to please nature.

As for me, after spending a good 20+ years in business administration and human resources, I decided to leave that world and try my hand at writing stories based on my dog Betty who gives me daily inspiration.

The Betty Book! is my first children’s book, but surely not my last. Stay tuned for more of Betty’s wonderful adventures!
