Rochelle Caplan, M.D., Pediatric Neuropsychiatrist, Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry, and past director of the UCLA Pediatric Neuropsychiatry Clinical Program, studied medicine at the Jerusalem University Hadassah Medical School and trained in adult and child psychiatry at the Tel-Aviv University Sackler Medical School. With clinical and research expertise on how children use language to formulate and present their thoughts to the listener, she has devoted her career to evaluating and treating behavior/emotional problems in children with psychiatric and neurological disorders. Her research has focused on use of psycholinguistic, behavioral/ emotional, and brain imaging measures to study the development of communication skills, behavior/emotions, and brain in children with these disorders.
