Melissa's greatest passion is writing books for readers in their teens and early twenties. She is the author of dystopian adventure, MY BEGINNING, contemporary drama, STORM and new adult romance, LOVE AGAIN. Melissa also enjoys penning short stories and narrative non-fiction. No matter the genre, love is the central theme in her work.

Melissa has been honored with 5 nationally recognized literary awards, including the Next Generation Indie Book Awards and Foreword Book of The Year Awards. As founder of the Rocky Mountain Women Writers and with over 20 years of experience navigating the literary industry, Melissa hosts retreats and workshops frequently throughout the Denver area on writing, publishing and everything in-between.

When Melissa's not busy brainstorming or laughing at her own jokes, you can find her climbing fourteen thousand foot mountains (weather permitting) or drinking copious amounts of coffee.
