I'm a playwright, novelist, poet and short-story-ist (is there such a thing?) for adults and children, who also writes the occasional piece of creative nonfiction. My newest collection, "Love and Loss and Love," will be released in early 2021.
Currently, my middle-grade novel *"The Bluebird Prince" (please read the reviews!), short story collection *"American Blues" (named "Creative Loafing" Atlanta's "Best Book by a Local Author" for 2015), and my adult novel *"Animation" are available. Order any of the above directly from me [ejb@yours.com] and receive free shipping.
Thirty-three of my plays are published, including the multiple award-winning *Nighthawks," and *True Magic," a Christmas farce for family audiences
All told, I've had more than 40 different plays produced internationally and about 120 prose pieces and poems included in journals, anthologies and on audio sites, including *Scratch My Belly and I'll Follow You Anywhere, * The "Boundless" Anthology, *two volumes of the Bacopa Literary Journal* and three volumes of the *Emanations series. (*indicates it's available on Amazon.)

I've been affiliated with Chicago Dramatists for more than 25 years. I've also taught both playwriting and short story writing and been a presenter at various conferences.
Writing is my passion, but I'm also an avid reader, listen to a lot of music, cook (love to cook!) and watch movies, especially old ones, especially noir old ones, especially *good* noir old ones.
My wife (and inspiration), business writer and jewelry designer Roxanna Guilford-Blake, and I live in the Atlanta area with our coffee-cup-sized Shih Tzu, Pip, and Baldrick, a good ol' whippet/lab mix.
