Chris Cannon

Chris Cannon is a Vancouver-based writer and co-author of the bestselling "America, But Better: the Canada Party Manifesto." His work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Men's Journal, MTV, and dozens of other media thingamajigs. Under the pseudonym Chris Smith, he authored "101 Albums That Changed Popular Music" and some other books about the kids and their rock-and-roll. He studied narrative anthropology at Columbia University and metaphor theory at the University of Chicago, and now teaches cultural criticism at the University of British Columbia. He's a portmanteau aficionado, a champion of the Oxford comma, and believes there is a dire need for a universal epicene singular.
