Joanne Eckton

I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Staten Island, NY (the OTHER island). Later I moved to Tampa, FL, where I married Paris Eckton and was blessed with two really great kids.

I never dreamed I'd be an author or a public speaker, but today I am both. If there's one lesson I've learned after many decades in the corporate world, it's people really are the #1 resource of any company. Too many companies make lip service to this, and as a result it is up to each of us individually to help others find happiness, satisfaction and fulfillment at work.

Today this city girl lives in Nashville, TN, where I'm learning how to be a southerner and finding out how incredibly friendly people really are here in the south.
