In addition to being an author, I'm also a Somatic Life Coach. I offer coaching and Somatic Experiencing to adults and kids.

I've translated the tools I use in my practice into fun and engaging concepts for adults and children alike. The characters I've created along with easily taught and digested ideas help parents and educators teach mindfulness and body-mind lessons to themselves and their kids. I'm committed to helping the human beings feel better and do better.

I care deeply about children. I believe in unlimited possibilities for children and adults alike.

Most of us start out in life feeling like unique, amazing beings. We’re full of wonder and have many dreams. Life is abundant, joyful, and full of possibility. We don’t know anything other than being ourselves.

Then life happens: family, culture, experiences with siblings and other kids, mild and extreme traumas – everyday failures intervene. These experiences pile on. Our sense of wonder starts to fade and we gradually switch from living abundantly to living life from a fearful place. Eventually we stop being our marvelous, extraordinary selves. Some of us forget who we are completely.

As a result, worries, anxieties and stress can overtake us. We lose confidence. We stop being present. We lose awareness. Our beliefs change to those that can be skeptical and resigned.

My mission in life is to help parents and teachers remember and get back to being present, loving, abundant beings. Healthy, happy adults who remember their own magnificent uniqueness. I’m committed to parents who love themselves, accept their mistakes as learning opportunities, and offer themselves compassion when they’re hurting.

When adults remember who they are in this extraordinary way, they model this way of being for their children!

I help parents be a loving, accepting, encouraging, champion for their children while modeling kindness and compassion. These parents expect their kids to be exactly who they are – nothing more or less. They don't compare their children to others. They provide loving boundaries and offer wisdom that’s supportive and kind. And these parents understand that their children are wise in their own right. They raise kids who learn to understand what they need.

In my books and coaching practice, I offer tools for parents and children ages 9 and up. I also help educators who are committed to supporting students in being kind, happy and successful. I use concepts and metaphors that are fun for both children and adults. The tools are generously mixed with mindfulness and self-compassion practices to help you and your child (re)connect with love and kindness. Robots, thought monsters, superheroes, feeling ladders and better stories help my clients live lives of wonder and possibility.

Often, the work we do together will include working through one of my books: How to Tame Your Thought Monster or Tame Your Thought Monster: A Color, Learn, and Feel-Good Book for Kids. With educators and students, we’ll use the kidThink Kindness Curriculum (coming soon). The concepts create a common language you can use within your family and classroom to help create positive, loving outcomes for both adults and children.

Personally

I’m married to an amazing, kind and supportive husband. Together we have one son. I adore spending quiet time with my human and canine family. Giving back is second nature. I’ve volunteered in many capacities over the years and continue to do so. I love Paris and anyplace else that reminds me of home. I’m creative, kind and intuitive. I love sharing what I’ve learned – so much so that my friends call me Sharasaurus!

Thank you for purchasing my books and for all that you do for children!
