Stella Compton Dickinson

Stella Compton Dickinson is Research Lead in Arts Therapies in Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Forensic Services and a Fellow of the Institute of Mental Health, Nottingham. She holds an honorary research contract at the Institute of Psychiatry. She is a UKCP registered psychotherapist, a Healthcare Professions Council registered music therapist with approved supervisor status and an accredited cognitive analytic clinical supervisor. Stella has published and presented developments in forensic music therapy across four continents and she has implemented an ethically approved, controlled music therapy research trial in a high secure hospital. PhD studies are registered with Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge in collaboration with the health service and population research department at the Institute of Psychiatry. Stella also works in private practice and is well known in her first career as a professional oboist, teacher and lecturer.
