Dr. Vipul Kumar

Dr. Vipul Kumar passed his MBBS from prestigious King Georges' Medical College , Lucknow in 1986 and completed his M.D. in the Deptt of Medicine in 1990. His thesis was on the "Role of Variceal Sclerotherapy in Portal Hypertensive Bleeding".He also worked in Batra Hospital and Medical research Centre, New Delhi for a brief period.

Dr. Vipul Kumar joined the Keshlata Cancer and General Hospital in Bareilly (U.P.) as Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist in May 1991. There after he started his own " Muktesh Endoscopy Clinic & Hospital " in Bareilly since 1999. He has also work as Assistant professor in the Deptt. of General Medicine Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital Bareilly .

Work Experience- He has a work experience of over 20 years in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has treated lots of cases of different types Gastroenterological and Hepatological problems including Acute and Chronic Hepatitis, Cirrhosis of Liver, Ascites, Variceal Bleeding, Hepatic Encephalopathy etc. apart from other illnesses related to Pulmonary, Cardiac, Renal, Endocrinological, Neurological, Haematological and other systems and general every day illnesses. He is a Life Member of Indian Society of Gastroenterology , Indian Association for Study of Liver, Association of Physicians of India, IMA, Indian Epilepsy Association, IMA-AMS etc.

He has successfully organized 11th and 18th U.P. Chapter of Indian Society of Gastroenterology Conferences in Bareilly in Feb 2000 and May 2007 as the Organizing Secretary.

He has Organized Regional CME on Hepatology in Aug 2005 in Bareilly as its Organizing Secretary. He delivered a Lecture on Advances in Hepatology in this CME along with other specialists from SGPGIMS, Lucknow and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New, Delhi.

He has attended many National Conference of INASL and ISG and also the Asia Pacific Biennial Conference of APASL in New Delhi ( Dec'04).

He has been Invited as Faculty in Mid Term INASL (Indian Association For Study Of Liver) National Conference at New Delhi- Dec,2005 and 2007.

He has keen interest in Liver related problems and has given many lectures on these topics in the Indian Medical Association meetings of Bareilly and nearby districts along with local T.V. & Radio Programs and in News Papers.

He has authored a Book titled- "Legal Solutions for Medical Profession". The book has been distributed to almost all medical colleges and National Law universities in India. He was Honoured by IMA , Bareilly on Doctor's Day 2008 for this exemplary contribution to the society. Several Book Reviews of this book were published in Medical Journals.

He is Chairman of St. Matthews Scientific Research Foundation.

He is a Human Right Activist. He was a member of Amnesty International India Foundation and He was one out of its 12 National Core Committee Members in 2008.

He is Ex-Chairman of IMA- Academy of Medical Specialties, Bareilly. (2004-05)

He is the Chairman of Legal Committees of Indian Medical Association , Bareilly and Bareilly Nursing Home Association.

He is Ex- President of Bareilly Nursing Home Association 2006-07, 2008-2012.

He has been active in Mountain sports apart from swimming, Table tennis & Badminton. He did 'Basic Course in Mountaineering" from Instt. of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali in 1986. "Certificate course in Skiing" from Directorate of Winter Sports, Auli, Joshimath, Uttrakhand in 1989. He did Trekking to Pindari Glacier in 1984.
