Julian Young

Julian Young is the definition of hustle. He went from drug dealer and dropout to building multiple successful businesses. He transformed his street sense and grind into a savvy and successful business hustle, as the CEO of Julian Young Business Advisors and co-founder of the Julian and Brittany Young Foundation, formerly the Start Center for Entrepreneurship. Julian went from facing 15 years in prison, to becoming a trusted mentor and coach to hundreds of women and minority entrepreneurs over the last decade. He is transforming the current culture and landscape in the entrepreneurial and startup space by betting on “underdog” entrepreneurs who are not only under-resourced and underserved, but oftentimes overlooked and underestimated. His mission is to increase the footprint of diversity in the entrepreneurial space.

In addition, Julian is an author, investor, and speaker. His work has been covered by publications such as Forbes, Black Enterprise, and Entrepreneur Magazine. He is also the first black franchisee of a Scooter’s Coffee, which is located on 30th and Ames next to his office headquarters.

Julian lives in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife, Brittany, and two daughters, Genesis and Alexa.
