Thank you for supporting all writers, publishers, and bookstores. Readers inspire us, and keep alive the reading culture. I'm a journalist, fiction writer, and former USA Today business reporter. My childhood: I fell hard for words at eight, after tumbling from a tree and breaking my wrist. Couldn't play sports, so I spent the summer devouring books. My career: thousands of news stories, features, investigative yarns. The adrenalin rush was addictive, and the public service (free press, disseminating the news) was gratifying. Now: I'm rediscovering the spirit and grace of words, writing books and ghost-writing/editing. Everything comes full circle.
