Katelyn Rushe

Katelyn Rushe is an independent author, illustrator, and filmmaker from Pennsylvania. Always an avid writer, she had her first publication at age twelve and published her first novel, Deer Lake, at age seventeen. Her books primarily span the science fiction, fantasy, horror, and humor genres with a strong emphasis on character development and world-building.

Rushe attended college at Robert Morris University and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Media Arts. She has worked on over fifty film and TV productions and specializes in screenwriting, cinematography, storyboarding, and editing.

In addition to writing novels, she likes to keep busy by hand-crafting jewelry, drawing web comics, and writing movie-themed essays for her blog What’s New with K.Ru.
