Dr. David A. Russ is author of the children's book, "Emetophobia: The Ultimate Kids' Guide," and co-author of the award-winning child anxiety program, "Turnaround: Turning Fear into Freedom". These are innovative and effective ways to teach children to overcome anxiety disorders. His professional expertise and passion are for helping people overcome anxiety.
Additionally, Dr. Russ and Anna Christie have written a book for clinicians on how to treat emetophobia called, "Emetophobia: Understanding and Treating Fear of Vomiting in Children and Adults," to be published by Jessica Kingsley Press (Hachette) in the UK. The forward is written by Dr. David Veale. It will be released on April 21, 2023. Dr. Russ is President, co-founder and a licensed practicing Psychologist at Carolinas Counseling Group in Charlotte, NC. He and his partners have built a successful practice with over 20 clinicians. He has been continuously providing clinical services since 1985 and has been happily married since 1983. He and his wife, Linda, have three children. He received his doctorate from Georgia State University in 1992 and has been an adjunct or visiting professor at four different graduate counseling programs.
